Dirt Bike Throttle Cable Problem?
I have a problem with my throttle cable. Please excuse my poor lack of "bike terms". Anyways so basically i cleaned out the carb of my 2003 Honda XR100R, and when i put the throttle cylinder that connects to the top of the carb the cable came loose from the needle/cylinder. And when i tried to use the throttle, somehow to cable was pulled into the actually head or whatever its called "The part that screws ontop of the carb". I've tried pushing the cable through, and grabbing it with needle nose pliers. And i can't take the screw cap off because its fixed. Nothing seems to work. Is there anyway to fix this? Or should i buy a whole new cap or whatever it is.
Here are the pictures:
Pull the rubber boot back and push the cable end through with a small punch
Or, feed a piece of wire around the cable end and pull it out
Remove the cable from the carb top.
Pull the inner wire (the end that goes into the carb) out of the cable as far as it will go.
Thread the inner cable through the carb top.
Attach the inner cable to the slide (the cylinder holding the long needle)

- My bike keeps bogging down at full throttle? 2004 Honda cbr 600rr 41k miles. I was on the highway after work and there were no car so I decided to hit top speed 155. Full throttle it got up to 120 and felt like it was bogging down. When i rolled off the throttle a little it started pulling and got up to 130 then i gave it full throttle again and it started bogging down and losing speed. Its an older bike and i don't really have the money to take it to the shop. Any ideas?
- Mini bike engine runs full throttle, I believe there's a problem with the internal governor gear, any thoughts? It's a Honda g150 engine that's been sitting in a shed for over 35 years. I took off the carb and cleaned it out, the governor arm doesn't return back to idle, it just sits on full throttle. Runs fine minus that problem. Got it started yesterday and it took off I had to bail and it kept going right into my neighbors house lol.
