Do I need a motorcycle license to ride a street legal dirt bike?

I'm thinking of purchasing a small 125cc dirt bike does about 67 miles a hour its completely street legal from the Honda dealer ship getting it off my buddy can I drive it with my regular class c licences or will I have to go through the motorcycle licences process

If you're going to ride it ON THE STREET, then you need a motorcycle operator's license AND a license plate on the bike! You'll need insurance too.

Are you going to get caught driving it? You don't say.

NO. As long as you ride offroad on private property. Riding on street may be another story depending on where you ride it, what country/state/province are you planning to ride it? How old are you? How long have you had your class C/car license. Some post indicate state tolerates under 150 cc motorcycle ridden with just car license, basic license covers cars, light commercial vehicles under 10,000 pounds gross weight, motorcycles not allowed on interstate meaning under 150cc in USA by federal laws. States moped/light motorcycle licensed vehicle OK to ride if over 21 with basic license. Locally 'Mopeds' are riden with basic license, motorcycle endorsement not needed. Couple states no license at all needed for 'Mopeds' Ohio and Colorado have been noted, Arkansas and Indiana until until 2 years ago with some 'grandfathered' riders still not having drivers license when riding them. SO, Wo Bist Du? Where are you?

Unless it is ridden solely on private property, you must get a license.
