Does being a security guard have okay pay?
I'm planning on getting a cheap motorcycle when i graduate, like a honda cbr 250 off craigslist and I'm wondering if the pay of a security guard would be able to afford its insurance and 250$ of rent per month. (My roommate and i are gonna split it) How much money do you guys think i might have left over? I know this is a extremely broad question but just make assumptions to fill in the blanks because I'm not even there yet.
One should never aim for the minimum. You should always aim for the sky, and if you struggle to reach it, you might have to get the lower jobs while you continue reaching for that sky.
If your goal is to sit there in a security job position? You will live paycheck to paycheck the rest of your life. Apply to colleges. Get financial aid. Apply for scholarships. If you didn't do anything with yourself up to this point and have nothing going for you? Sounds like a great place to start over and take control of your life man.
Getting a low paying job and blowing it all on a motorcycle you probably can't afford isn't the best plan of action.

Depends on how you define "okay pay". That term means nothing by itself. It's what you compare the wage against that defines whether it would be 'okay' or not.
But I do agree with Dimo. Security guards, at least where I live, make little more than minimum wage. Even armed guards that drive armored trucks make surprisingly little money.
Being a "security guard" needs *ZERO* education. Means that any idiot can do the job. Means if you don't want to pay for $8/hour the next idiot will.
- Honda CBF 125 security, safety and price query? I was interested in buying a Honda CBF 125 as my first learner bike. I have looked around and found a few for sale (second hand) for about 1.5k in apparent "good condition" and an average 6k miles. Would it be better to get a cheaper bike with more miles or pay £400-500 and purchase one with less (about 1-2k miles)? Additionally, what is an affordable (within £100 budget) disk lock that can give adequate protection to the bike which also fits?
- Does Honda Dio stainless steel guard kit come with a front bumper guard? Yesterday I've bought a Honda Dio scooter along with the stainless steel guard kit. But I found that there's no guard for the front bumper. Can somebody please let me know whether it comes with a front bumper guard or not?
- Is it okay to use an aftermarket AC condenser in my 2011 Honda Fit? I need to replace a leaking AC condenser in my Honda Fit. The dealer quoted me a ton so I'm taking it to an AC repair shop. However, the repair shop doesn't use parts from the original manufacturer. The owner told me that the aftermarket condenser has the same specifications though. My concern is that the dealer warned me about aftermarket parts because the pressures involved could mess up other parts. Should it be okay as long as the specifications are the same?
- Does power steering fluid get hot if the car is just running and the steering isn't being used? If the pump is just spinning, recirculating fluid and nothing else… Would it still get hot? I had to bypass the pump from the rack and have the fluid recirculate. Would the pump get hot from just spinning? I know 8th gen Honda's don't have a cooler for the power steering anyways.
