Gift for a motorcycle enthusiast (revised)?
My dad rides a honda, from the first day of spring to the last day of fall. He rides to and from work as well as longer trips (he road from PA to NC this summer) hes a lone wolf rider and has good riding gear including a full face helmet built in with speakers for the ipod i got him last year. Good gloves, jacket, pants, boots, thermal stuff for 40 degree weather. Are there any other items i could buy him for christmas that would help him along his rides? Must have stuff that he may not have heard of? And has anyone tried those magnet strips you put on the bottom of your motorcycle to make red lights change that normally don't detect bikes and do they work?
You don't mention if he works on his own bike, but this tool works really well: https://www.amazon.com/...0013LH8PK/
How about a set of tires? Oil changes for a year or two? The next factory service on his bike? Rider backrest?
Not familiar with those magnet strips, or if they work or not. I've never had an issue with the lights not changing for me.
Things motorcycle riders love but that are not that expensive but they always need. Those sponge ear plugs you get at walmart a bucket costs about $10 we motorcycle riders love that. Also a "magnetic tank bag" that costs about $40-$50. See video below. Also good motorcycle gloves that match his bike.
Most motorcycle-dads are cool so WHATEVER you give should be appreciated.
A Gift Card from his Honda Shop can save you a worry without being insulting, HE gets to present himself.
(tell him at Thanksgiving that Candid Chris on YA says his Honda is a turkey, buy a REAL BIKE. Pre-Christmas Ho-Ho_)
Buying stuff for a motorcycle is a very personnel decision. I would suggest a gift Card from your local Honda motorcyle dealer.
A set of tires are always needed at some point and time.
Kevlar undergarments?
No clue about the magnets… But can't imagine a magnet weighing less than 400 lb. Would make any difference. And then you would have trouble with all the flying manhole covers impacting the motorcycle!
- I got a new car as a Christmas gift but I don't like it. How can I exchange it? I got a Honda Pilot but I wanted a Honda CR-V. I don't need a 3rd row seat and gas mileage isn't that great. So how many days do I have to exchange it without penalty? I heard 3 days.
- You say do I need to keep the Bell helmet the renter wore when he slipped, and crashed my motorcycle? My motorcycle is the 2008? Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle. The Cofounder of Riders- Share.Com compensated me the full amount of the motorcycle repairer's written damage estimate. I was also fully compensated for the helmet, which the renter wore when he crashed my motorcycle and my helmet.
- Motorcycle no lights/start after wash? I have a 1981 Honda custom 500. Sprayed it at the car wash got it home, no lights and completely dead, won't turn over, charged battery and still nothing. Possibly bad regulator?
- I've just turned 18 today and i'm gonna be getting a motorcycle what motorcycle would suit me? I'm only 90-95 pounds and I'm short what would be a good light weight cruiser around 250-300 pounds like my Honda Twinstar 185? I can't balance anything too big as i'm small, I need something that's lightweight, preferably Harley, but any work for me a bikes a bike, Thank you in advance! Note: My Honda Twinstar does not run my father had that bike since I was 7 or 8 and gave it to me when I was 9 but it sat out so long it doesn't work.
