Honda cbr125 bad vibration?
I have a Honda CBR125r 2006 . The bike seems to run fine and pulls really well for a 125 however if my RPM's go over 6-7 k it vibrates like made, seems to be engine, but not sure. Any ideas?
Get the wheels balanced. Put a new chain/sprockets if the one on the bike is near maxed out. Check mechanical timing. Get the valve clearances checked. Check for good spark. Check compression.
If you have a vibration, and when you upshift and the vibration lessens, it is the engine, not anything about wheels, chain etc.
Timing, valves, spark, compression, etc. Does not increase with RPMs. If you don't lose power at higher RPM, no problem.
The 125 is a single cylinder motor, probably not counter balanced. As the RPMs increase, the vibration will increase.
If you are a new rider, one that has never rode a single bigger than a 50cc scoot, the vibration is probably NORMAL.
Does it have rebuilt engine? If so, the moving engine components (pistons and rods) probably didn't get properly balanced and there's nothing you can do except rebuild it properly or keep the rpm lower.
Find some one else with the same bike & ask them to ride it & check. Quite likely that the amount of vibration you feel is normal for a single.
Single shake at some rpm range- nature of design. Check top motor mounts and then case mounts, then look at wheels, swingarm, chain/sprocket.
On a single cylinder motor that would be NORMAL. 2 stroke engines are even worse. I wear thin leather dress gloves and that takes away most of the vibration through the handlebars. It helps ALOT.
Then don't let the RPMs go over 6k.
- Honda Pilot 2003. I hear a sound of vibration from the engine when I drive. What could be the cause? It does not matter what speed but of course when I'm at 30-40 mph range it is more audible. It's comes from the engine. It feels like I was driving over combed road (like the one at side of highways to wake you up). But it is not that coarse. It's a smoothers vibration than that. Its almost once every minute and stays for 5-6 seconds. Sometimes more. Any ideas what it could be?
- Honda CBR125 repsol. Switch on and revs go mad? Bike wasn't starting so changed spark plug and charged battery. Now she starts. BUT soon as you fire her up the revs goes full blast. Throttle isn't stuck i know that much, what else can it be?
- AC making loud vibration and revolving noise on 2002 honda civic lx? The noise doesn't always happen when the ac is on but it does for most of the time. It happens more loudly than normal and more often than normal whem I've been driving the car a lot that day. What could be making this noise? The compressor? I just replaced front and rear sway bar links, outer passenger tie rod, and exhaust manifold.
- Bad starter cause my bad to need replaced? Honda told me my bad starter caused my battery to get to hot and now I need to replace it also It tested above 50 percent life a few months ago. Is it possible for my bad starter to cause this
