Honda Ruckus, 49 cc, in florida, do I need a motorcycle license?
Ok so, I'm 15, and I have a Honda ruckus. I've never been a fan of scooters, and I'm still not, but I drive the ruckus to ease my mothers mind, before I eventually get a motorcycle. Do I need to take a course and get a motorcycle license to drive a 49 cc scooter? I understand that there are differences between a 50CC bike and a 49CC when it comes to the laws.

Your Ruckus has more than 2bhp and can easily do more than 30mph, and thus your Ruckus is a motorcycle.
Since it is a motorcycle, you will need a motorcycle permit/endorsement/license to ride legally.

- Scooter Frame transfer from Florida to Texas? So I'm looking into buying a front frame off a honda metropolitan to swap it with a damaged ruckus frame. The front frame is what has the vin number on it. The frame is from Florida and comes with a title but I live in Texas. How would I transfer the title from Florida to Texas?
- Would I need a motorcycle license to drive a Honda Metropolitan scooter in Florida? I've been looking into getting one. I also looked up the rules for scooters/mopeds in Florida, but it was a little confusing and I think the scooter I want surpassed some of the maximum requirements for being classified as a scooter/moped.
- What's a clever/funny license plate for a motorcycle? Next month I'm getting a Honda cbr 500r (my first motorcycle) and I want custom plates. Any cool ideas?
- Shoud I buy the motorcycle before or after I get my license and gear? I found an interesting offer on a Honda CB500 from 1993 but I don't have my license nor gear. I'm afraid that if I don't buy it now I might loose it. What do you think? Of course I don't plan on riding with no gear. I'm going to store the motorcycle until it's 100% safe
