Honda Sabre As First Bike?
I was looking on CraigsList the other day and came across a Honda V65 Sabre 1100.
And it looked really cool for a bike from the 80's. Anyway I'm 16 and I was wondering if the Sabre would be a good bike for me to get.
An 1100 seems like a very big bike for a 16 year old, especially for a first bike. Try a 250 or 400 for a year or so to get a bit of riding experience under your belt first. Such a large engine size is bound to cause issues for someone so young and inexperienced.
NO! Seriously that is one or the most powerful bikes you can get. Not recommended for a beginner. You can still get a sabre, just not a V65. Try and find the v30 (500cc).
You will not get insured, if you do it will be mega money
- Which bike would be a good first sport bike. Looking at CBR1000/600's and also the yamaha R1/R6? I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best. I wish I could just ride all of them and see for myself. Tampa, FL Sam
- What is the most appropriate motorcycle jacket for someone who rides honda rebel as his first bike? I personally like those nylon looking jackets like revit touring types I guess as oppose to sportier looking ones but really is there a good versatile one for my situation?
- Is the honda cbr 500 a good first bike and how expensive is the insurance and cost? Ok i'm 20 ans iv always wanted to ride a motorcycle ever since i was little and now i have a full time job and want to ride. I heard about the 250s but i know that id be tired of it after like 4 to 5 months while riding. I was thinking of the honda cbr500 i'm 5'9 155 pounds. Also how much would insurance cost and the paynents per month i may put 1000 down but i'm not sure i just want to have a decent amount of pay per month not too much
