I can't go above gear 4 in honda CBF 125 2012?
I bought a second hand HOnda CBF124 2012 model two weeks ago.
I though these bikes had six gears? I sped up to 45 and gear four is max i could go to.
I can't shift the gear lever after that.
Why do you think i'm having this problem?>

5 speed. Something inside the tranny is either broken or loose. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about the internal workings of a motorcycle transmission.
Well it is 5 speed, so… You realize it is 1 down and 4 up?
Edit: Considering you thought it was a 6 speed, I'm guessing you didn't know it was 1 down and 4 up and that solved your issue and don't want to sound silly.
However, giving you the benefit of the doubt, if you truly can't get above 4th gear (3 up) then it could be an issue with your transmission. Probably not something you want to crack open unless you are an experienced mechanic or are willing to destroy the bike during the learning process. (Most people learn on an old junker so when they take it apart to learn and can't put it back together properly, they aren't out a whole lot of cash.)
Hi so take it to a honda dealer and ask there advice as sometimes this sort of thing is a simple fix by someone who knows the machine.

SH125 / SH125i / SH Mode Were all of these being made in 2012? I think the Mode came in in 2014. Also what is the difference between each of them? It would be great if someone could point me in the direction of some concrete specs about each model.

- Honda CBF 125 security, safety and price query? I was interested in buying a Honda CBF 125 as my first learner bike. I have looked around and found a few for sale (second hand) for about 1.5k in apparent "good condition" and an average 6k miles. Would it be better to get a cheaper bike with more miles or pay £400-500 and purchase one with less (about 1-2k miles)? Additionally, what is an affordable (within £100 budget) disk lock that can give adequate protection to the bike which also fits?
