I don't know what's wrong with my Honda cbr f4i 02

I have a f4i 02. Something is draining my battery, I've been through 4 batteries in 2 weeks; I even replaced the stator and recitifier but my battery is only running 8.6 volts while at 3krpm. When I try to start the bike it just makes this loud clicking noise from the battery being low. I can put a new battery in and about a day later it will die… Someone please help. This is becoming such a headache

Buy a multimeter and learn how to use it. Track down the draw.

Ah… The random replacement method of troubleshooting fails again. You fail to state the resting voltage of the battery when it's disconnected. You fail to mention if you've got a decent charger. You fail to mention if the battery is wet, AGM, or LiFePO4. Apparently you own a voltmeter of some sort. You fail to state whether you've measured voltage drops. You fail to state whether your meter can measure ac volts or resistance. You fail to mention what obvious wiring flaws, like worn insulation and corrosion, you've ruled out. Sorry dude. Too many unknowns. Ragging online is not as effective as, like, actual troubleshooting.

4 batteries. How much would it have cost you to take to a motorcycle shop and let them fix it? Probably 4 batteries worth. At least it would be fixed.

Use your multimeter to look for Voltage drops in the wiring. If your new battery is down under 10Volts it's probably stuffed already. It is not being flattened it is instead not being charged. Check for AC Voltage out of stator, check for AC Voltage into rectifier, check for DC Voltage out of rectifier, check for DC Voltage into regulator, check for DC Voltage out of regulator. (you have got a copy of the manual with circuit diagram?)
Alternatively take it to a competent autoelec with motorcycle experience, pay him to diagnose the problem

Sounds like a bad or incorrectly wired alternator. If you have investigated and discounted that take the right hand cover off. There should be a big copper wrapped metal thing and underneath some wires. Check that they haven't been corroded by stuff on the road or chopped by the chain.

  • Honda hornet 600 2005 or cbr 600 f4i 2003? - 1 It's my first bike. I like the street naked bike style and i know it's easier to drive but i don't know if i should choose the hornet electric carburetor over the f4i fuel injection system
  • Does Honda cbr 600rr 7/12 Fairing fits on Honda cbr 400rr? Actually I'm thinking about buying this bike and upgrade its fairing to Honda cbr 600 rr 7/12 model… Did anyone had changed the fairing before and does it fits on 400rr? If yes then can you share me the pictures of it… I'm only asking to those who have done this before. Thank you on advance
  • Any good mods for a 2001 Honda Cbr 600 F4i? Just thinking about any cosmetic or bolt on mods i could do! All i've done is put a Yoshi exhaust and thats it! Any ideas are appreciated!
  • 06 CBR 600 F4i brake light? On my 06 Honda CBR 600 F4i the right brake light stays on during normal operation and the left light is off. When the brake is applied the left light comes on and the brightness of both lights increases. These are the stock lights. Why would the left light come on only when the brake is applied?
