I'm buying a bike/scooter 125cc, what would be considered high or low mileage?
I'm looking to purchase a Honda CBF, Honda CBR, Aprilla RS, Yamaha YBR or Yamaha YZF… Any recommendations?
Anyway, to the main point! I was wondering what a high mileage for a 125cc scooter/motorbike would be? And how old of a mototbike I should get?
I understand that it depends on how the person has looked after the bike etc however, what would be considered a high mileage, low mileage and medium mileage?
Well the Jap 4 strokes will pretty much go on forever if they're well maintained. I've seen some used as commuter bikes with in excess of 40k miles. With regard to the two strokes like the Aprilia RS I'd personally avoid anything with over 15K miles unless it's had a recent top end rebuild.
- Would a 125cc 4 stroke scooter be able to keep up with a 125cc sports bike? I'm thinking of getting a Sym Jet 4 125cc, and my friend rides a Honda CBR 125, we re riding about 3 hours down to the Bulldog Bash, would my scooter be powerful enough to keep up with him? And cruise comfortably at about 60mph? Long and short. How much of an advantage/disadvantage are gears when it comes to acceleration and speed.
- What would be the best bike for me a yahama yz, Honda cr, Suzuki rm or a Kawasaki kx I want 125cc? I'm 18 and about 5 foot 9, I have had experience with bikes before a 50cc and a 85cc but haven't been off roading on a bike in a while so just looking into getting a off road so what would be the best bike to get
- What scooter is best for commuting in London on daily basis? 125cc vs 300cc? I like the Honda PCX 125 and also the Honda Forza 300. I do not know which one to buy. I wonder if 125cc is enough or if I should go for the 300cc. New or 2nd hand? I also have seen the Honda Forza 125 and I wonder if it is worth it. The PCX seems to be very good value for money (maintenance and running costs), however it is small size in comparison with the Forza 300 (obviously at a higher cost). Any suggestions?
