I want a enduro dual sport but I'm having seat height issues?
I want to buy a dual sport and I was looking at a honda crf250l because of the reliability and ratings and longetivity. The only problem with it is the seat height is 34.7 inches and it's too tall. My height needed is about 32.9 inches. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Depending on if you only plan on using the bike on the streets, you can install 17 inch wheels with road tyres to give it the 'supermoto' look. This will also lower the bike height. You can also get gel seats, or shave some off the seat. My dual-sports from 1984 and has adjustable suspension, so I'm assuming yours would to.
My bike has a seat height of 35 inches, and I'm 31 inch leg inseam. Can't flat foot it with both feet, but can with one. And that's good enough. These bikes are light-weight, so they take hardly any effort to hold up. After a week of riding it, you soon become used to it to a point where you don't even think about it. Wearing motorcycle boots will also help alot, for that extra grip.
Seat height is not an exact thing, and some bikes sit differently than others. If you know the bike you want, then go to a local Honda dealer and actually sit on the bike to see how it fits. There ARE ways to lower the ride height if needed, but you may find that it fits well enough in stock configuration. Talk to your local Honda motorcycle dealer.
My favorite is the Yamaha TW200. Low seat, great ergo's, super fun…

- I want a new Honda CR-V but only if dealer agrees to paint it in color I want for free. Will they agree to it? I want a new Honda CR-V in my favorite color: Sapphire Metallic which is available on Honda Pilot but not on CR-V for whatever reason. But this is the only color I want. So will dealer agree to do it?
- Which dual sport should I get? I'm looking at getting a dual sport bike so I can drive on and off road (my friend and I hit the trails a lot but I want something for the city too). I like Yamahas and Hondas, and could care less for Suzuki and Kawasaki. I want one that would handle more difficult trails/hills, so I'm thinking something among the line of the DRZ400/440 or the XR650 (the 250 might be a bit small), but I'm interested in your opinions/recommendations.
- What type of Dual Sport will last on the freeway? Well I want a Dual Sport bike for commuting to work and other places. I was thinking about the 2015 Honda CRF250L but I heard that on the freeway it starts to have a little trouble when hitting 60-65. Now I will be riding the freeway quite a bit since that's how I get to work. So I need help on figuring out which bike is best for me. Also I'm 6'2 and about 260pounds. Please help me and my love handles finding a perfect bike.
