I want a good beginner sports bike?

Ok so i'm 15 and i would like to buy a good sports bike by the end of this summer(yes i know i'm young) but anyways i was looking at a honda 250 and a ninja 250 or 300, i would use the bike as something to ride around town on weekends, not a constant vehicle, so are those good beginner bikes? Which is the best and is there others that are better?

I would suggest a drz400sm if you can fit on it. Its tall. Its faster than a ninja 250 and ninja 300. You can drop it and it won't hurt it or be a expensive fix. Its got lots of power and can do 100 mph. Its much easier to throw around and outrun cars on. Dual sport is a better beginner bike. You'll drop it and regret having all that plastic. Plus the aftermarket is much cheaper. I have a klx250s with jetting and a exhaust. Its pretty quick and easy to lay over. I bet I can touch my peg to the ground better than a guy on a sport bike.

The Ninja 250 is a twin and is better on the track.
The CBR250 is a single and is better on the street.

Hondas are always good just because there solid vehicles and replacement parts are cheap compared to most brands. Perfect for a starting bike because there always gpnna nickel and dime ya

The Ninja 250 is a fun bike and if you learn to ride like the guy in this practice-race video you might want to spend more time riding than just weekends.
Enjoy!

I have a 250 ninja and it's not a bad bike, but be careful, it's very light in weight and easy to lose it. If you hit gravel with it straight up an lean even slightly it's scary, it's a very squirmy bike. I'm almost 17 and I bought the ninja a few weeks ago and then got a 2002 cbr954rr and got my permit yesterday and put 150 miles on between then an today and I love it. Yes it's a huge bike for a beginner haha but I've always driven bikes an every motorized thing there's. My Honda does crazy wheelies which the ninja will not. So the ninja is less dangerous in that aspect. Once you get a feel for any bike and don't get overly confident with it, youl be fine, just watch out for the idiots around you, and get a bike you're not afraid to drop and scratch up, an get something you can pick up if you dump it, 250 is really easy. And I'm selling my ninja because it's like a moped compared to my Cbr

  • Would a 125cc 4 stroke scooter be able to keep up with a 125cc sports bike? I'm thinking of getting a Sym Jet 4 125cc, and my friend rides a Honda CBR 125, we re riding about 3 hours down to the Bulldog Bash, would my scooter be powerful enough to keep up with him? And cruise comfortably at about 60mph? Long and short. How much of an advantage/disadvantage are gears when it comes to acceleration and speed.
  • What's a good beginner sport bike? Is a 2008 honda cbr600rr a great choice? Or there's more? I started liking sport bikes like today and i learned alot of bikes names. Having a 1000cc is my dream in the future. I like bikes with great sounds and great body and style. Ducati panigale 1199 is probably the best looking one i have seen on the interent and it is my dream of having one
  • What would be the kind of sports bike apt for a beginner to start-off? I'm new to riding bikes, and I've ridden cruise bikes( I'd like to start-off my sports-bike riding. For now, my options for a beginner's sports bike are a Kawasaki Ninja 300, a Honda CBR250RR and a 600RR. I could afford a budget around 6,000 USD to 7,000 USD. What, according to your opinion and experience, would be a good starter sports bike for a beginner? And what kind of technical know-how and riding skills should I be needing to work on, in order to use one properly?
  • What's a good beginner bike for a tall rider? I've always wanted to get a bike ever since my mom let me ride one when I was 12. I'm a 16 year old girl, 5'9", 135 pounds. I was thinking about a Triumph Bonneville (it's my dream to own one but now I'm thinking it's too small) or a Honda. Does anyone know what would be a good bike for me, even if I grow an inch or two more before I can afford one?
