Is a 125cc engine to small?
I'm looking at a restored 1980 Honda 125 Enduro. Will use mainly for street & some mountain use.
Is 125 to small, or just right?
If you are riding it to High School on side streets it will be fine.

It will feel like a moped. Being that it really can't get out of its own way relative to traffic around it, I would strongly recommend you never take it on the street.
Depends on your perspective. Adequate for both tasks but extreme mountain use no.
If is a capable machine but at bottom of scale for hill climbing and off road use.
Mopeds are ridden on the street. A 125 will do the speed limit around town, no problem. Not a highway machine.
If you weigh less than 175 pounds it will be fine to ride on the street to school and do some off roading with. I road the exact same bike for years and it will do 70 mph on the highway which you will never need in town and has plenty of pep for town riding. As a hill climber it is sufficient to have fun on. It is more suited to trail riding but it will climb small hills. It is an Enduro and it a compromise so know that going in.
If a 50cc engine is good enough, you are in paradise with a 125cc think about it.
- Small honda 5.5 engine shaft PTO attachment? I recently found a small 5.5 honda engone in my garage, and when i was running it, i noticed that the shaft wasn't spinning fast at all, then i noticed this weird circular thing bolted onto it, and it had its separate oil fill hole… What is this? How do i take it off?! I don't want to take it off and mess it up

- Would a 125cc 4 stroke scooter be able to keep up with a 125cc sports bike? I'm thinking of getting a Sym Jet 4 125cc, and my friend rides a Honda CBR 125, we re riding about 3 hours down to the Bulldog Bash, would my scooter be powerful enough to keep up with him? And cruise comfortably at about 60mph? Long and short. How much of an advantage/disadvantage are gears when it comes to acceleration and speed.
