Is it hard to drive a Honda CB110 Motorcycle?
Never owned a motorcycle, driven one, a scooter called Mio, it was automatic so it was just like riding a bike. Do you think i can handle a Manual? I'm a tall 18 year old guy with a good body (if that has anything to do with it)
Practice in empty parking lot
The SYM Mio is a 50cc twist-n-go scooter. Right hand throttle/front brake, left hand rear brake.
The Honda is a 110cc standard motorcycle. Right hand throttle/front brake (no change), left hand clutch, left foot gear changer, right foot rear brake.
Learning the clutch/gear takes about 5 minutes. Moving the rear brake from left hand to right foot takes a minute, if you can walk and chew gum.
I learned to drive in a manual-shift car. Dad thought that was important in those days. Anyway a while later my sister had a boyfriend with a Honda 90. I was very interested in it so he asked if I'd like to ride it around the block. I jumped on it and had no trouble at all. Later I bought my own first bike and rode it home. At night! Not recommended these days but in those days we did things differently. 8^)
If you can ride a scooter you can ride a motorcycle. You just have to learn clutching and shifting. If you've never done that before, it will take a little while, but it's not difficult.
Discussions of clutching and shifting make it sound complicated, but it's not at all. It's easier to do than to talk about! Talking about it only gets you more confused!
No, not really, just take it slow. I myself actually learned how to ride a motorcycle before I learned how to drive a manual transmission car. But they're sort of similar. It's a matter of clutch rhythm. In fact I'd shifting on cars is harder because if you're not precise you'll fudge up the gears.
Hard, like easy, is a subjective description of how a person finds something to be for themselves. There are of course all degrees between hard and easy too.
Just because one person finds something to be either easy or hard or anywhere between it will have no bearing on how you will find this to be for yourself
If I can do it, you can. Like anything in life, practice and get used to it. Practice some more, get good.
- Why is it that some husbands let their wives drive luxury cars while they drive ordinary cars? I've been observing some of my neighbors (one of them is a stay at home mom) and the husbands drive ordinary cars like Honda Accord or Honda Pilot. But the wives tend to drive luxury cars like Acura TSX or Acura RDX (some form of luxury car). What is the reason for this? Why do wives get to drive luxury cars while the husband drives ordinary car? I should say some of them. Its not a problem though but was only curious. The neighbors are Asians actually.
- Would I need a motorcycle license to drive a Honda Metropolitan scooter in Florida? I've been looking into getting one. I also looked up the rules for scooters/mopeds in Florida, but it was a little confusing and I think the scooter I want surpassed some of the maximum requirements for being classified as a scooter/moped.
- Motorcycle A1 Test, how hard? I'm coming up to my 17th, I have some money left over and was debating to do a A1 test, and having a pillion passenger that would be used nearly everyday and the other bonuses. I know my insurance goes up as well but I'm mainly wondering about the cost and difficulty, it all changes year by year. Any help would be great! I bought a Honda CBR 125RS6
- Is it hard to ride a motorcycle? The motorcycle that I plan to ride is Honda Wave 125, will it be hard to ride a motorcycle like that?
