Looking for a second hand first bike?
I'm currently thinking between the Yamaha DT 125R and Honda CG 125. I'm a heavy bloke but not really big, 19 stone and 5'11. The lower looking CG (for my weight), reliability, cost etc of the honda is appealing to me, as it needs to be cheap and bombproof, but the yamaha has more power to shift my weight to-from work, and is offroad, making me assume its better in the snow and with hills (i live in the area around barnsley, and will be travelling about an hour to work)
They're both good bikes. Ride them both and see which one feels right for you.
- Which bike would be a good first sport bike. Looking at CBR1000/600's and also the yamaha R1/R6? I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best. - Looking for a nice first bike? I'm gonna buy a motorcycle in January 2016. I want to get a cruiser but I don't know where to start. I don't want to pay too much and my friends are telling me to get 1100 cc because that's the only way to keep up on the freeway. I really like the Honda Shadow line but all I see is 750cc does anyone know ones that look simular to like a Honda Shadow Aero that's 1100cc?
- Buying second hand motorbike? Buying a 2010 Honda fireblade with 11 000Km on the clock. Going to test drive it tomorrow and was wondering what to look for if the bike has been looked after and secondly when riding are their any signs that would tell if the bike has been hammered?
