Motorcycle front end shake?

It rides nice but if you let go of handle bars the front end will start to shake and it gets worse if you let it go.
honda shadow 700 cruiser. The tire is old and has a few cracks.
i changed the fluid in the forks with the right stuff but now it shakes much worse.
what could be causing this…
i want to sell it but not with this problem cuz i'm an honest person

Don't let go of the bars!
Your wheel is probably out of balance.

Get your front wheel balanced. And check the wear on the tire.

Replace the forks and the tires.

Normally this is caused by worn tire and MOST cruiser style bikes have tendency to do this by default - go to hondashadow.net and ask around about it - yes new tires help but eventually it will come back. Fortunately you can't feel it in the handlebars only when you release at lower speeds is it apparent.

Tighten up the fork and try. I think the issue must be the worn out tyre or else a loose fork. Get it checked out.

Sounds like worn tyres

Check rear tire allignment. What happens is back tirs drives bike, if out of allignment it will push bike either left or right., The front tire then has to skip when pressure is pulling it the wrong way. Also another test is to get bike up to speed of shake, slide back on seat and see if shake goes away, If not sllde forward and far up against tank to see it that helps. If slliding back works, your rear suspension it too stiff, same with front end. Also may sound crazy, but when shake starts the worst thing to do is fight the handlebars.

  • Why does my 2008 Honda Fit intermittently shake when AC is on, in drive, and foot on brake? The shake is every 2 to 10 seconds, darn short each time, and hardly strong. (If it happens when I'm driving then it would be hard to notice). It definitely does not happen when in park or the AC is off. Three weeks ago I got a rebuilt transmission. This started for the first time 3 days ago.
  • Cost for front end struts in Boston metro area for 03 Honda Element? I'm in Boston metro area and need to replace both struts on Honda Element 2003. Any idea of a fair price installed (inclusive of front end alignment)?
  • Why does my car shake? Timming belt was changed but had a oil leake after that. (Didn't have one before). I put oil in the car because I assumed it was low and right after I put Arco gas in it(was running on empty). Right after doing this the car started to shake and felt like it was going to turn off. Check engine light began to blink, battery light would kinda light up. I would reive the engine and it would be fine. This happens only when I have the car at a stop or light. It's a Honda Civic 2004.
  • WhY does my car shake so much when I go over little bumps? I have a 2006 honda civic w/more than 100k miles and I traded it in for my other car. My problem is whenever I drive over small bumps, the cAr would shake violently even if I go slow. How can I fix this?
