Motorcycle Honda GL650 Silverwing 1983 transmission fluid change?
How to change the transmission fluid - Honda GL650 SilverWing 1983 manual transmission? What type of transmission fluid, now much, etc?
The fluid is oil and there should be a dipstick to show the amount in there.
(not a Honda expert) So start with 2 quarts/ 2,5 liters, look at the dipstick and add a little, look again, add more and more if needed.
Best to have a Shop Manual when doing shop work or rely on a Yamaha rider to give you the basics. Close but a different cigar.
Thhe 'transmission fluid' is the engine oil. Remove the drainplug and filter. Should say by the dipstic how many cc's of oil, usually under 4 quarts.

- Should I change my transmission fluid? I have a 2009 Honda Fit manual transmission. I bought the car with 100k now 145k and never have had it changed. I've heard horror stories to not to change it on high mileage cars which is why I haven't had it done.
