Do you have to sell your motorcycle if you plan to move from Colorado to New York?
I have a Honda CB500F motorcycle that I love but it is too far to drive. If I decide take it with me, I have to drive twice since I have a car too. If you were me, would you sell the motorcycle before you leave or drive twice?
The other option is to ship it.
If you have a trailer hitch on your car, you can rent a bike trailer and tow it.
Ship it. Forward Air will ship it also most moving lines such as Mayflower.etc will ship it also.
I'd go rent a uhaul motorcycle trailer.
Buy another in NY. Hauling the bike 2,000 miles will cost you nearly $500 in extra fuel.
There's this really neat invention someone came up with a few decades ago. I think it's called a motorcycle trailer
Tow the motorcycle or have it shipped.
No you don't have to.
I had a car and a motorcycle for a move 17 hours away. I rented a Uhaul, put the motorcycle inside on pitbull stands and tie-downs. Then I put in all of my furniture, and rented a trailer to haul my car. It was about 1000 bucks. For moving across country it was one of the cheaper, easier options.
The last time I had to move cross-country, I had two motorcycles loaded in the back of my U-Haul truck with all my furniture. Just drain all the fuel out of them before you load, and wrap them with furniture pads to keep them from getting scratched. If you don't have enough "stuff" to rent a truck, you can always rent a trailer to pull behind your car.
Try adding a small trailer to your car, if your car is able to… Unless it's necessary to sell I wouldn't.
Put the bike on a trailer and pull it to NY, it's that simple.
- Can a or multiple 2008 Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle operate on the Belt Parkway, which is in New York State? Can a 2? 008 Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle be operated on the forks and enter into the Belt Parkway?
- I sell cars for 1800$ or less but the taxes are almost here could I sell this car for 3000$? It's a 2004 Suzuki Verona 159,000 miles Automatic It's in exelent condition no problems But do you think I'll get 3000$ for it? Most people usually want a honda or Toyota
- If your car was starting to have a lot of mechanical issues (see details), would you go for repairs or buy a new or good used car? My 2002 Honda Civic is suddenly having a lot of problems - SRS dash light always on, AC doesn't work, squeaking and thumping underneath on front passenger's side and brake pedal, and passenger side mirror is loose.
- I'm moving to New York City but I have a year left on my car lease. Is there any way out? I have a Honda Civic leased through Honda Financial Services and there are 11 months left on my lease. HFS apparently does not allow Lease Swapping (a common solution for this type of problem). It looks like I will have to pay the remaining monthly payments I owe to Honda one way or another… Is there any alternative to this? I have no need for a car in NYC and I'm in California now. The car is in pristine condition and pacing about 6 or 7k under mileage. Anyone know of a way out?
