Should I get an Suzuki SV650 or a Honda CBR600 f4i?
I'm a beginner rider and I was wondering which of these would best fit me for my first ride. I know one is a cruiser and one is a crotch rocket? So how much difference is there between the two? I'm 5'6 by the way if that affects anything.
Get a lambo
Yes, you will get it.
The SV 650 is a sporty-standard, not a cruiser. The CBR 600 F4i is more of a sport-bike and really not that great for a beginner rider.
If you plan on riding any bike I'll suggest/recommend that you enroll in a MSF Basic Riders Course as it will teach you a lot about road safety and will help lower your insurance rates.
SV will be comfortable and better for everything except for the track. If you plan on racing at the track, buy a truck and the CBR600.
I agree that the SV650 is a better choice for a beginning rider. But you want to be able to sit on a bike with both feet flat on the ground, and especially your first bike. So find a SV650 and sit on it, and see if you can do that.
Of these two the SV650 is a much more appropriate bike for a beginner. However, there are much better choices. Simply google "starter motorcycles" and you will come up with many good choices and reasons for going with a less focused bike for a starter.
Honda CBR600 f4i
I'd buy neither and I'd do what I did and buy a Fazer 600 of a similar year.
I had the original model Fazer 600 and loved it! Perfect for commuting, peg scratching, trackdays, two-up, touring - it literally did everything!
I thought it handled + braked better than the SV650 (as well as being more powerful) and it was comfier than the CBR600F.
For me, it was cheaper to buy and insure as well. I had it as my 2nd big bike - coming from a 33bhp GPZ500S.
A bike is only as fast as your right wrist wants it to be.

Honda CBR600
- Wheel lights on honda cbr600? My boyfriend just bought a used honda cbr600. It has red lights on the rims of the wheels. The guy he bought if from said one wasn't working so he disconnected both of them. We're trying to figure out how to connect them. Or turn them back on. I've tried looking up everything on google but nothing explains how to connect them or turn them on. If anyone has a similar bike please help me out!
- What is the best clutch kit to buy for my 1999 Honda cbr600 f4? I need to replace the clutch on my CBR 600f4_ and not sure which kit to order and this is the 1st time rebuilding clutch does anyone have any web pages that might have useful tips or diagrams?
- Should I trade my Honda Crf230f for a Suzuki Rmz250? I have a 2006 crf230f with an fmf powercore 4 slip on and also re jetted and a Uni high flow airfilter an amr stage 3 rev box and a younger kid is offering to trade me his 2004 rmz250 because it is too big for him. Any opinions?
- Is a Honda cbr600 a good beginners bike? I'm 13 years old, and i'm saving up for one. I rode my brothers pit bike on the highest gear possible, while going very fast and going through slippery sand. I was comfortable on it. I feel that a 250cc or a 300cc motorbike is too small. I like the looks and how fast the cbr600rr goes. What do you think of it?
