Upgrading from honda nighthawk to honda fury?
So I have a honda nighthawk 250 and I've been riding for 3 years so I'm comfortable riding but would a honda fury be to much more bike than I'm use too
You will be fine if you can handle the weight but it is fairly low center of gravity - the fury has a weak engine for the cc's (ie very tame). It will handle like a bad cruiser and stop like an elephant on wet grass - so don't expect much in those departments. But if cruising for a few miles on the weekend is your fancy - go for it. If you like to go 200 miles a stretch maybe think something less cruiser-ish.
I don't think you'd have any trouble handling a Honda Fury. It's a lot heavier than your 250 but it has a lower center of gravity.
Outrageously-styled bikes like this tend to be all about style. The Fury is a 1300cc bike, derived from the more conventionally-styled VTX 1300, and it has about the same weight and about the same amount of power. It has only 57 horsepower, meaning it will run fine, cruise the freeway okay, nothing spectacular, but it's not more power than you can handle.
I disagree with CB about comfort. Cruisers make good tourers. 200 miles in a day is nothing on one of these beasts. But the Fury may be considerably less comfortable and practical than the regular cruiser that shares its engine, because it's designed mostly to be an unusual bike that attracts attention.
- Upgrading 300,000 miles SOHC engine? I want to upgrade my hondas SOHC 1.6 ltr engine with new pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, displacement, engine head, valves and springs, cam gears, connecting rods, fuel system, and a small stage 1 turbo but the engine has 300,000 miles in it. If i upgrade it anyway, will it make the engine newer, or will i have to replace it either way?
- Upgrading exhaust on Honda? I have an 07 honda pilot with the 3.5l v6. Everything is stock I would like to know what muffler I should get to achieve a deeper more rumble sound ( more like a truck). Please don't say get a v8 or it won't sound like a truck because I know it won't but I want the deepest sound I can get out of a v6 thanks so much
- Is a 1982 Honda cb450 Nighthawk a good bike? I'm looking at a 1982 Honda CB450SC Nighthawk. This is my first bike. There are 26K miles on this bike and the dealer wants $1375 for it. Kelley Blue Book said this bike is worth $1175. I ran a vehicle history report and found nothing wrong. Should I buy it? How much should I pay?
