Want to upgrade to a bigger cruiser?

This is the second season I haven't had a motorcycle and I can't take it anymore! I previously had two honda shadow 750's and they were great bikes, but I want something with more oomph. I'm pretty open to any manufacturer. There are a few things that I'm looking for in a bike.

Low seat height. I'm right under 5 7".
Somewhat light bike. 550-650 ish pounds
Less than $5000.

Look at a Honda VTX 1300. Very pretty bike. And by today's standards, 1300cc is still considered 'medium sized'. Also Yamaha Star 1300. Both bikes look very 'elegant', not sure how to describe it. There was also a Shadow 1100 once, and it had a dual-pin crank, which I think might be better (less vibration, more power).

I have a prejudice against the Star 1100, because you have to unbolt an exhaust header to get to the oil filter. 1100 owners say it takes just five minutes extra but I see this as an unforgiveable design flaw.

If you want to go BIG, a Yamaha Roadstar would be nice, or a Kawasaki 1500/1600/1700 'classic' (same bike, they just made the engine bigger over the years) or the Nomad, same bike with built in hard bags. They're a little over 650 lbs though.

You know you should look at the V-star 950 and 1300. My buddy had a 950 and that thing had great power for the size, it was a bigger looking and feeling bike (in a good way) still handled very well and sat real low. If you want something bigger than that the 1300 is also great but its a bit heavier so is quite as nimble and will be more expensive. You could get a used v-star 950 for a great price, perhaps even the model with the windshield, sattlebags, backseat etc.

Try the 950 Yamaha v star. Lowest seat height of cruisers. More power than a 750 without ruining your insurance rate. Belt drive.
