What is the max speed in each gear for a 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit 750?
I can't find any details, even from Honda, what the maximum speed in MPH is for each of the 5 gear ratios on my 750 Shadow. Also, what is the engine redline? No factory tach and no details on what the engine is capable of turning.
I have a 2012 shadow spirit, Now per owners manual it states… Shifting from 1-2nd 12 mph
2-3rd19 mph…
3-4th 25 mph…
4-5th 31 mph.

Top speed numbers are rarely posted anymore, especially for each of the gears. You might be able to get some info from posting on a Shadow Forum. Somebody might know.
As far as redline, if you do not have a tach, the info is pretty much useless to the rider as they will not know what RPM they are at at any given moment. The Shadow has a rev limiter than prevents you from over-revving the engine.
As a cruiser, the Shadow produced it's max HP and torque at a much lower RPM than redline, so revving the engine to redline doesn't give you anything extra.
That bike is a cruiser, shift gears as you need to and go cruising.
If you NEED to know all the little piddles join in on a Honda Shadow forum for better answers and install an aftermarket tach.
- Would a Honda Shadow Phantom 750 be a begginer motorcycle? OK. I'm 16 years old I've bought all the nessecary gear I got that idea of watching cyclecruza's squid videos and didn't want that to happen to me. Well because I shouldn't look up to my dad who rides a Harley 1200 who only wears a helment a t shirt and just jeans. I know not to go over the speed limit but all I need to know if thus good first bike.
- What tools do I need to remove the motor to my Honda Shadow Spirit? I have an old 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit with a blown motor. I want to try to take it apart and remove the engine. If I buy tool kit for the Honda Shadow will that come with all the tools I need, or are those tool kits more just for basic stuff. Just wondering if I need to buy a full socket set. And also if the bolts are metric sizes or standard?
- Is this 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit a good deal? So this is my first bike purchase and I want some opinions before I go for it. The bike I'm interested in has been dropped on both sides, needs front brakes, a rear tire, oil change, and turn signals. It is going for $2000 and has 23K miles on it. - I have a 750 honda shadow american classic was out on a ride stopped to get gas got back on bike and nothing? The 750 Honda would not start the head lights are not coming on but the turn signal work and the horn had battery charged. Any ideas please this is a motor bike not a car
