What kind of dirt bike should I get? - 2
I'm a 21 year old guy. 6'2". 165 lbs. I have a honda 150, kawasaki 110 and a couple mini bikes, but I want a real adult dirt bike. I have a decent mechanical background and I like learning about bikes but I'm new to them. I acquired all of the formentioned toys in the past year. A guy on craigslist in my area is selling a 2003 Yamaha TTR225 for 900. I was thinkng about that but I would like some opinions. Would there be something better for me?
The ttr is a great little bike. It really depends on what you plan to do with it. If your just exploring trails and plodding around the ttr would be fine, its going to be limited on suspension performance and power though if youre to the point you want to 'blast' through trails rather than plod. Probably start thinking yz250 when youre to that point.
The TTR is a fine trail bike, if you are looking for something with more guts try the YZ 250F.
- Which dirt bike should I get? I was wondering what dirt bike to get I've had 2 dirt bikes and 1 pit bike they were a 50cc 80cc and 125cc I've been to 1 track before and to my friends house with the 125 and he has jumps and a almost a track still working on it but I wanted to know what bike was perfect for me I'm 5 foot 2 and 120lbs and experienced here are the bikes: Kawasaki klx 140l Yamaha ttr230 or Honda crf230

My uncle offered to sell me his 2003 Honda crf 230 that's in great condition for 1000 or less and I'd need to buy a conversion kit for it, good idea or no
- What size dirt bike should I get? I want to buy a dirtbike. I don't know what size I should get though. I'm 5'4 and 120 pounds. I know how to ride a dirtbike I've had one before. I don't want one to small or way to big. I was thinking like a Honda XR100 or yamaha TTR125 or suzuki DRZ125 Are those to small? Those 3 dirtbikes the seat heights are a few inches below my waist. I think that's to small. What dirtbike do you think would be good for me?
- What size dirt bike should a 153lb 6 1 14yr old get? I'm 14 and I'm 6 1 153lbs owned a 2007 kx125 2 stroke and an older Honda 90 when I was 11 back in 2012 and sold it mostly because I wanted something bigger. I feel very comfortable on dirt bikes and I'm very fit for my age mostly cause I have moved furniture since I was 6. But I'm just looking for something to trail ride and do some jumps on! Any suggestions are appreciated!
