What's wrong with my dirt bike? - 2
It won't change from 1st gear to second gear, when I try to change gears into second it just goes back to neutral. I'm pushing the gear changing up enough hat it should be changing into second but it just won't. And yes I'm using the clutch when I change gears.
I started to get this problem with my bike (Honda) when I got stuck going up a super steep and slippery hill at a motocross place. Anybody know?
Most common
check that the shifter lever is tight on the shifter input shaft and that the splines on that shaft are not stripped. That typically effects any gear though. Otherwise your second gear or 1-2 (app) shifter fork is likely the issue. Bent or worn. The 1-2 common shaft may also be an issue. Disassembly/inspection will reveal.

- What's wrong with my dirt bike? I have a 2001 Honda xr100r. The bike has been running great earlier today, but just now out of nowhere it won't run past 1st gear. It starts fine and I can move in first gear, but when I shift to second it bogs and turns off. What could have happened? Is it the transmission? I was riding just fine an hour ago.
