kind of overwhelmed with decision making. So many opinions out there. But really, what is a no no an absolute no as far as helmets are concerned and what should I consider?

I like to be safe of course but I also like to be comfortable. I have tried full on helmets as well as modular and half helmets BUT not really 100% set on any.

I LIKE the half helmet idea but modular as well as full helmet sounds pretty good.

BELL is the best, its only your life at stake… BUY THE BEST

A full face helmet would be what i got, Thats what i wear. If my dad would have had one on, he wouldn't have lost his front teeth.

Whatever you do, get a full faced helmet.
Open faced are dangerous.
A Shark is very good, but cheaper ones such as LS will suffice.

My choice would be for a full face helmet. Although I also have an open-faced helmet they are less efficient in poor weather (and in the areas they protect).

Don't buy by brand, buy what fits you. Different manufacturers make subtly different shaped shells - and humans all have subtly different shaped skulls.

So go to a dealer and try on several helmets, you are looking for a snug fit all round (do not buy loose the helmet will not be able to protect you if it can shift about on your head).

A helmet that fits you properly.

You should get a helmet for yourself, your motorcycle doesn't need one.
