What's a good beginner sport bike?

Is a 2008 honda cbr600rr a great choice? Or there's more? I started liking sport bikes like today and i learned alot of bikes names. Having a 1000cc is my dream in the future. I like bikes with great sounds and great body and style. Ducati panigale 1199 is probably the best looking one i have seen on the interent and it is my dream of having one

A 600 cc super sport is a terrible choice for a newbie. It is basically a street legal racing bike. It does one thing really well ( go fast on a track ) and most other things not very well at all ( long distance comfort being the most obvious ).

A cbr600rr is not a beginners bike, it's a mid range race replica sports bike built with Moto GP technologies alongside the likes of Kawasaki's zx6-r, Yamaha's R6 and Suzuki's Gixer 600 etc etc.
A 'beginners' sporstbike would be something like an ER6-f or an SV650.
Don't get me wrong the rr is a great bike but it's a whole new bike from the chicken chasers we all used to ride before we passed our test.

  • Which bike would be a good first sport bike. Looking at CBR1000/600's and also the yamaha R1/R6? I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best. I have looked at a honda shadow 650, or a vulcan 800, but am unsure of how powerful they actually are and if i can even handle it.
