Which dirt bike is a good size for me?
I plan on getting a dirt bike soon, but I'm a beginner. I plan on getting a 4 stroke. Should I get a 250 or 230? Yamaha? Honda? I'm 5'7 and 135 pounds.
Usually the 250 class bikes are a bit tall for a true beginner so I recommend that you go sit on a few bikes in the 225-250 range, you'll see what will feel comfortable and that's a good start.
I rode/raced Yamaha since 1974 and like their products 'most' of the time (not always) so get out there and look at all the brands and models available, throw your leg over all you can.
Age or height?
150, 250 is too much for a beginner.
I don't even ride but id say a 250. That's what everyone tells me when i say I'm going to get a bike eventually.

I was wondering what dirt bike to get I've had 2 dirt bikes and 1 pit bike they were a 50cc 80cc and 125cc I've been to 1 track before and to my friends house with the 125 and he has jumps and a almost a track still working on it but I wanted to know what bike was perfect for me I'm 5 foot 2 and 120lbs and experienced here are the bikes: Kawasaki klx 140l Yamaha ttr230 or Honda crf230
- Which bike would be a good first sport bike. Looking at CBR1000/600's and also the yamaha R1/R6? I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best.
