Why are some honda sport motorcycles CBR and others are CB?
I have never understood why some models are the CBR 250 or the CBR 650 but others are the CB500 etc. What is the significance of the R?
The R are sportbikes
It means whatever the manufacturer wants it to mean. There's no special significance.
Race styling.
CB
Nobody has ever called a CB500 a "sport" bike.
- Why are their more Honda motorcycles sold than Kawasaki's & Yamaha? When the zx9r came out their were still more fireblades sold even though the zx9r was faster? And it was the same thing with the yamaha R1. Even now Kawasaki's and/or Yamaha still seem to have a little bit more horse power so why would people buy Hondas over Yamaha and Kawasaki? it Can't BE because they are cheaper because harley davidjsons sell more and are more expensive which is fact
- Why are motorcycles bad on gas mileage? The other day I was driving my friends 2014 Honda Fit. I noticed that it got about the same gas mileage as my 2011 Honda CBR 600RR.
- What happened to Japanese cruiser motorcycles? Why were they all discontinued? Gone since 2009? Seems like V start, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki all dropped all their bikes of 1400cc-1600cc since 2009. Harley Davidson Dyna and Softail are 1600cc so there only comp is?
- Good beginner motorcycles? (Perferably sport)? About to get my motorcycle license, I'm 17. I want a motorcycle that is good for beginners but doesn't make me look like a *****. I'm thinking of getting a sport bike but i don't know. Any suggestions, tips, advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. ***** stands for P U S (C) Thinking of the Honda CBR600RR. Is it a good bike? is 599 cc considered good?
