Why Honda uses thin tyres on their bikes?

I'm a big fan of Honda(bikes or cars).
But I always wondered why do they use tyres with less width… At least the REAR tyres should have been wider.
They use big tyres on high end bikes such as CBR models and VFRs etc.
But on normal bikes such as unicorn, shine, stunner, they put very thin tyres.thinner than those found on other manufactures bikes… Why do they do this.to increase fuel efficiency? Why Honda uses thin tyres on their bikes

Fuel economy is one reason but power to weight ratio is another, it takes more engine grunt to push a bigger tire and one other thing is handling, trying to pair the two tires to each other in the most effective way.

I always felt it was to save manufacturing costs. Many people will put wider tyres on when they wear down the originals.

Thinner tyres are usually used on lower CC bikes, 125cc's, 250cc's etc. However, on larger bikes (600cc+ etc), larger tyres are used. It's more effective for a lower CC bike to have thinner tyres rather than larger ones. Anyhow, large tyres on a small engine'd bike will probably slow it down some due to the increased weight and width.

Smaller bikes need a smaller contact patch with the road. Putting a larger tyre on does not necessarily help you handling - in fact it can make it considerably worse. As a bike is leant over int oa corner the sidewalls of the tyre come into play & the effective radius of the tyre changes - wide profile tyres on the wrong rim size don't change the way the designer meant them to. Also larger contact patches can lead to grip problems in very wet weather.
Some manufacturers fit fat tyres to make the bike look good. You're paying for the extra you don't need & can't use. The average 250 will lift the front wheel before it spins the back on dry bitumen so lack of traction is not an issue normally.

Normal bike give high mileage and long tyre is for top speed smooth drive on road
