New clutch or gearbox needed?
Hi so i seem to have a very annyoing issue going on when changing gears in my Honda integra.
If I'm driving like normal around the city (not exceeding 60-70kms) then all gears are fine. But if i'm going anything over that then I have nasty crunches in all gears - going up & going down. Apart from 5th.
Do i most likely need a new clutch or would it be the gearbox sync?
I never have trouble getting into gear it's just a bloody annoying crunch & a yank feeling, even if I hold the clutch in for a few seconds before trying a slow switch.
As you have no trouble selecting a gear it is worn synchromesh. Exchange gearbox needed. Or trade it in and let the dealer fix it. Sometimes this can be the best way as he can do it for half the price you can.
Check your hydraulic fluid level for your clutch peddle, its located on the fire wall next to the brake booster, if the fluids low fill it back up to the fil mark, put cap back on and pump the clutch peddle 3 or 4 times and take it for a drive if it still grind in gear at high speed pump it few times before you put it in next gear, and recheck fluid after you park, top back off if low and repeat, if it don't stay on full level then you need to find where your losing fluid from, if thats not it then check your gear oil level in the trans if its low then full it back up but make sure you get the right type of gear oil, just give part store your car specs, and i'm not sure what year your car is, but hope this helps good luck
What is happening is as the clutch is getting used it's losing it's effectiveness to separate the clutch plate as the hydraulic system used to declutch the clutch has air in it. So it is the first signs of a worn master or slave cylinder and so it needs to have this checked out it maybe just that the hydraulic oil needs to be replaced as this oil absorbs water and does not work as well when this happens. So take it to a dealer.
this sorts of issues they know about and they will immediately tell you if it had a proper service this would have been covered.
- What gas is needed for RSX and Honda Si? So I'm about to get either an 2006 RSX type S or a 2006 Honda Si. And I wanted to make sure I HAD to use premium gas or not and all websites had said yes. But what I want to know is if their are certain gas stations I have to go to. Or can it be any gas stations?

There house was gated so I had to dial in so I could get through. I was trying not to scrape my car against the security box, but somehow I did. The only area of the car that has been affected was the drivers side back door. I drive a 2004 Honda Element ex. I live in maple valley Washington and looking for a cheap paint job.

I'm wanting to convert it to a chain driven system but need to know how. The frame is chain driven but the clutch is belt driven how do I convert the clutch to a chain drive system.
