1996 Honda odyssey starts then dies?

Ok so it was working fine a couple of days ago but when I drove it about 2 miles away put gas into it (been about 3 months since I put gas) anyways when I turned it one it works then when I let go of the key it turns back off you guys know what the issue is?

Hi it is 19 years old car a wonder it has lasted this long. So worn out old engine needs a lot of care and attention so may need lots of spare parts even may need an engine transplant.

  • 1996 Honda Odyssey Won't Stay Started? My Honda Odyssey decided to act like a jack this morning. Out of no where I start the van and it shuts right back off, quickly and instantly. My radio will remain on but I have no clock or dash lights. I try starting it again and the same thing, starts and quickly shuts off. Head lights work but no dash or clock What the heck is the problem? I had no issue's until now.
  • My cbr 125 feels very sluggish and starts twitching on mid range, starts exactly on 6k and stops on 7k? Before 6k and after 7k the acceleration is good and quick, before i had problems where the engine would just cut out when hot so i changed the ignition coil with original honda one but this problem is still there, i just don't know where the problem could be, the carb has been all cleaned and a bigger jet to match the new exhoust was fitted…
  • Dropped motorcycle - engine sputters then stops. Later on starts, but stops again? I dropped my 2000 Honda Nighthawk CB750 on its right, picked it up in It was riding fine right after, then about 10 minutes later it sputtered and stopped while riding. Looked like the battery and starter motor were fine, engine just couldn't turn over. About 10 minutes later it started, and I rode for a couple miles. A few hours later I rode it again, but it only lasted about 2 miles before stopping again. I waited a few hours after that it started again. Does anybody have suggestions?
  • Honda Craftsman lawnmower starts then dies out? Whenever I start my lawnmower, it will run for 10 seconds and then die out. The cord is kind of tough to pull too if that adds anything.
