How to Change the Tail Light on a 2010 Honda Odyssey?
None of the online videos show how to replace the tail light replacement for the bulbs located on the tailgate (NOT the middle brake lamp bulb).
There are small access panels on both sides of the tailgate interior behind the lamp assemblies, but how do I get the panel off without damaging it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Pop the panel off with either a narrow width putty knife or standard blade screwdriver. Most likely there will be four or six bolts which will probably be 10 mm. Get out your ratchet, extension, and the 10 mm socket. Place it over the bolt, and flip the lever on the ratchet or turn the knob to the left and unloosen the bolts counterclockwise.
Remove the assembly, replace the bulbs in the new one. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Usually a flat head screw driver with a piece of cloth wrapped around it should do the trick.
Look for any indentations around the panel. If there's one, stick the screw driver in and pop the panel out. Don't force anything and you shouldn't break anything. Worst comes the panel breaks and you can just tape it back on or order a new one at the dealership/online.
- How much should I pay to replace the AC compressor on a 2010 Honda Odyssey? The air conditioning on my wife's minivan recently went out. I had her take it to a mechanic expecting a refill situations costing less than $100. When they got back to us they said the clutch would not engage on the AC and it required replacement costing over 1100 dollars. I've seen the part online for $250 to 450. How much is reasonable to pay for this repair? Would I be better off buying the part online and having someone else install it? I'm told the job is about 3 hours.
