Is it ok to drive my car once the check engine light turns off?

I drive a 2016 Honda Civic. A couple days ago my Check engine Light turned on. It turned off today. I got it checked and the code was P0326, a knock sensor problem. Should I get it checked even though the light turned off?

It should still be under warranty - at least the mandatory federal emissions warranty, if you are in the US. Definitely get it checked out. The knock sensor is important for NOx emissions control and for protecting the engine from damage at high throttle. It is safe to drive it normally; not so safe to floor it.

Its ok.

Get it fixed.

OK if the light went out. Maybe you got some bad gas or exceeded the car's weight limit. Leave Fat Mary and her other triplets at home from now on, or don't carry a pallet of bricks for them again.

Likely a case of bad gas. If it comes on again, take it to the dealer. For now, drive the car.

Hi so the check light indicates there's an issue which needs to be diagnosed. Failure to do anything about it will at some stage switch into the Limp HOME mode.

I'd just drive if the motor isn't misfiring and see if the light and same code come back. If it does then go to a mechanic.
