Our 2006 honda odyssey lost acceleration/power and was towed?
Was towed. On first start now, it starts for 1 second and immediately turns off. On second start, it only whines like a flooding sound. The engine light is on. The van is stranded. Please let me know where to start. What do these symptoms mean? What are the signs of a bad egr valve? It it air or fuel intake? Spark plugs are fairly new. Starter is fairly new. Our budget is very small.
Could just be a bad sensor. You'll need to get a code reader on it to see which one.
- Prius: Can someone explain the power usage meter & specific difference between power mode and Eco mode? My brother just got me a Prius to replace my old beater Honda and I'm having difficulty understanding the power usage meter (meter on dash with "Charge-Eco-Power") and the difference in the Eco & Power modes. I do understand the charge bit on the meter.
- Choppy, hesitant acceleration in 1995 Honda Odyssey? This problem has been going on for about a month now. Frequently, when I accelerate from a complete stop or speed up after I get going the motor does accelerate smoothly. It will be sort of a choppy acceleration. Once I reach the speed I want the car runs and sounds very smooth without any choppiness. What could be wrong? Injectors? Spark Plugs? Ignition coil or wires?
- My honda 2001 honda 400ex started smoking and lost alot of power? It smokes pretty badly like a 2 stroke and doesn't have power like it used to. Could it just be the head gasket it does have a litte oil around it? Or could it be more serious valves and rings?
- After replacing our car battery, our remote starter just turns and turns without actually starting the car? My wife has a 2010 Honda Fit and we just had to replace the battery. We got a remote starter installed from Best Buy in either 2010 or 2011. But after the recent battery replacement, the remote starter responds by just cranking and not starting. It does like three sets of cranking before stopping. I don't remember the brand of remote starter, but anyone have any insight of what I need to do?
