Piece of metal fell out of car?
Yesterday i started my minivan (Honda Odyssey 2002 EX) and when i changed the transmission gear, a piece of metal fell out of the car (see picture). At the top flat part its painted the color blue.
It almost looks like something related to the leaf springs like a bracket. It could also be some type of mount for the engine/transmission area or for the exhaust. I would get the front end up in the air with jacks or ramps and start searching.Another place to look is the door hinge area. If your van is blue, it makes sense that the top flat blue colored portion would be facing outwards since its painted

I was starting at the picture, have no idea. When you find out what it is tell me lol good luck yo.
- What do you call that square metal that protrudes in Honda CRV underside? My uncle has a Honda CRV and It is always a bummer, also a photo bummer seeing that metal that is visible when looking at the front of the car. My uncle sometimes go on harsh roads on it and most of the time it catches some twigs, brushes vines, even have few dents after hitting some rocks… I mean what is that? I know does something to its suspension but come on it kinda ugly to look at especially its usually the first thing people will notice.
- Can you get more money from a car part out or sell the complete car? Recently my car 1996 Honda Civic swapped with a b series, engine seized and I don't want to put more money into it. It has some little mods and i was just wondering would i get more or less money if i part it out?

- Will sheet metal screws hold a license plate? I'm selling my 2006 Honda Accord soon, and the front license plate was stolen or fell off. The replacement bracket costs $40, there are no aftermarket equivalent, and is a pain in the --- to install - I know because the same thing happened a few years ago. So I just bought a universal license plate holder, and want to drill into the bumper. Can I just use sheet metal screws (pointy tips), will they hold up? Or self-drilling zinc? Or I have to use fasteners, or toggle bolt? Etc.
