Oil help? On a 4 wheeler?
Hi just got a 07 honda rancher 420 4x4 with the push button shift. It has just over 3000 miles on it and needs a oil change. What oil and filter should I use? I don't have a dealer close by. But is there something I can get at a local parts store? And is there anything else that should be changed?
You should change the oil filter and use a quality filter such as Purolator, Bosch, Wix, etc. The correct weight oil for your Honda is SAE 10w-30 Suggested oils are equal in performance to SJ oils that are not labeled as energy conserving on the circular API service label. Do not use API SH or higher oils displaying a circular API ''energy conserving'' service label on the container. They may affect lubrication and clutch performance. Do not use non-detergent, vegetable, or castor based racing oils.

Should use 4 cycle oil, i'm a amsoil dealer and i use OW40 or ATV oil since i get it cheap. Hondas are known to be almost indestrucible, check the oil filter too

- My Four Wheeler broke what's wrong with it? I have a 2012 Honda Four Trax Trx420te. Right now something is wrong with it. It will start up just fine. But when ever I put it into the next gear it will run for a few seconds and it will cut off. If I'm fast enough to put it into neutral it will stay on. Can someone tell me what's wrong?
- What makes the Honda 3 wheeler more dangerous than a quad bike? So I was talking to a guy about motorbikes, 3 wheelers and quads yesterday. He said that the 3 wheeler didn't have something and that made it dangerous and was the reason quads are more successful. I know they have no suspension etc and obviously have one less wheel but what else is there? Something about the actual engineering of the vehicle? I'm not talking about inexperienced riders. Anyone help?
- Should I get a four-wheeler or dirt bike? If in were to get a quad I would get a 2005 Honda 250ex trx and if in were to get a dirt bike I would get a Yamaha TTR125. Dirtbikes are faster, you can jump things easier on them and they're easier to transport. Quad are more fun on rough terrain, trail riding, and mudding.(I live in Indiana). These are facts that I know. Please answer and give more facts on which one I should get and why.
