On my 2001 Honda 300ex, I'm replacing the lower steering bearing. How far in does it go until fully seated?
I can't seem to get it any farther than flush with the top of the seat. I've tapped it in with a same size socket and it won't go any farther, but it seems like there's still room… How far in does it go?
Hi this is why things like this need doing by a mechanic who knows what he is doing.
- Honda 300ex quad electric start problems? It's a honda 300ex in the 1990s and it's electric start. The neutral light won't light up, and it won't turn on. It's in neutral and the battery's fine. The headlights work, it's been doing this on and off for a week but now it just stays like this permanently. I need help, I don't know what it is. Someone please help!
- Does power steering fluid get hot if the car is just running and the steering isn't being used? If the pump is just spinning, recirculating fluid and nothing else… Would it still get hot? I had to bypass the pump from the rack and have the fluid recirculate. Would the pump get hot from just spinning? I know 8th gen Honda's don't have a cooler for the power steering anyways.
- Power steering fluid leaking from the base of the steering column? I have a 2002 Honda Civic and I noticed that there's power steering fluid leaking at the base of the steering column. I can't find anything about it online and don't want to take it to a mechanic if its something that I can figure out. Could this be the rack and pinion? Or is it just something simple? Anybody dealt with this issue before?
- HONDA CIVIC 2013 OWNERS; How long can your car run on empty gas until your car finally just stops? I run on E all the time, and I'm always scared that one day it will just stop… Knock on wood, it hasn't happened yet and I hope it doesn't! But i'm just curious to see if any of you have had this happen to you, and how long you traveled on E? It's good to keep in mind!
