Does 2010 Honda Pilot uses too much gas and is this safer?
I'm trading my 2007 corolla for 2010 pilot, but my uncle said it uses too much gas and unsafe, is this true?
It is Honda's largest SUV and as a result it WILL use more gasoline than the smaller CRv or your Corolla. I believe it is based on the Honda pick-up truck chassis, as opposed to the CRv's car chassis.
I've not heard anything about the 2010 Pilots being unsafe, but I haven't really been looking for that sort of info either. Could your Uncle be referring to THIS particular vehicle, or was he referring to ALL Pilot vehicles?
The Pilot gets 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, and it gets a little less if 4WD
The Pilot certainly uses more fuel relative to your Corolla, that's for certain. However, it is not drastically different.
Up to 17 city / 23 highway
Secondly, the Pilot is an extremely safe vehicle, more so than the Corolla in fact.

- What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason? Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Any more answers i was checking out that video then checked and notice newer cars don't use the coolant anymore so what's the deal we have to go back to inferior coolant i've read it eats the seals in cars? Any more information?
- Why Honda uses thin tyres on their bikes? I'm a big fan of Honda(bikes or cars). But I always wondered why do they use tyres with less width… At least the REAR tyres should have been wider. They use big tyres on high end bikes such as CBR models and VFRs etc. But on normal bikes such as unicorn, shine, stunner, they put very thin tyres.thinner than those found on other manufactures bikes… Why do they do this.to increase fuel efficiency?
