Question about My 2006 Honda pilot?
My 2006 Honda pilot?
What's it mean when your driving down the road and the battery light comes on then the radio goes on and off then shuts off completely and the speed amateur stops working? I pulled over and looked under the hood then about five minutes later it went back to normal and started back just fine. What happened
I'm thinking you have an intermittent short in the wiring to your brain that allows you to spell words properly in the English language. Maybe you should have that looked at.
If you don't have an owners manual for your car, you should get one. If you do have one, you should have looked at the meaning of the battery light. It means that the battery isn't charging. The cause could be a loose connection, a faulty voltage regulator, loose alternator belt, or a failing alternator. Due to the apparent intermittent nature of the problem, I'd look for loose or corroded battery terminals or a slipping or broken alternator belt first. After that, you might also get the alternator tested, which is free at most auto parts stores. When the system voltage drops below 12 volts, all sorts of electrical abnormalities occur, such as with the radio or rough engine lacking power (weak spark at spark plugs). Chances are, it will happen again, so get your vehicle checked out.
(p.s. It's "you're driving", not "your driving". Fail. And "speed amateur"? Try speedometer. Fail again.)
Get the battery charged and load tested. Get the battery terminals replaced. Get the serpentine belt inspected. Get the charging system checked.
Hi it needs a new battery.
Take the battery cables off and clean the battery posts and cable clamps. Go to an auto parts store and have them test the battery and charging system. They do that as a free service. Ac ripple from a bad alternator can mess up the electrical system like that.
You should also check the fuse boxes to make sure there's no corrosion.

- What is pilot sales? I have heard that Honda did pilot sales of HR-V in the US I do not live in the US? So I do not know what does it mean. I'm taking about the following article: http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/08/10/2016-pilot-could-place-honda-among-the-chart-toppe.aspx
- How do i replace the Bank 1 and Bank 2 02 sensors on a 2006 Honda Pilot? I've tried looking all over youtube for a tutorial, but can't find one that actually explains what to do!
- 2006 Honda Pilot oil stick showing low oil? The car has absolutely no obvious leaks and its not burning oil we bought a new stick and changed the oil but yet it's still (stick only) showing as low oil, what could be the issue? Is the stick (bought new one from dealership ) the issue or can it be leaking out somewhere that's not in plain view? I'm taking it to mechanic next week but I'm trying to see if I could get Tips Here first. The car runs perfectly fine, no obvious issues.
- 2005 Nissan Murano vs 2006 Honda Pilot? Found two SUV s I'm considering. 2005 Nissan Murano SL with 115k miles, they are asking $5,500. AND 2006 Honda Pilot EX with 122K miles they are asking $6,500. Like the thought of spending less on the Murano for lower miles, but Pilot has a lot of upsides I like also. Need Car peoples thoughts! Go!
