Reliable cars other than Toyota and Honda?
Kia is pretty good not gonna lie. Not a lot of gas costs, most cars are compact and comfortable. I've had one for a long time and not a lot of issues. The thing I can consider annoying is the space, but you can just choose a different model. We have a 2012 Rio model and I can still compare it to many 2019 cars
Ahh… That's it!
Most any modern car is going to be reliable if maintained properly. There have been some unreliable brands in the past - Yugo, Daewoo, - and every carmaker has gone through spells where they produced cars with common issues. If you are buying a used car, you can research particular models because they have a "Track record" For instance it took a couple of years to learn that Mazda RX 7's and their sister - car the Mercury Cougar had faulty transmissions. However once Ford found out they corrected the problem - so naturally you would look for cars made after the correction.
Most brand new cars are reliable but used cars are all different depending on how they've been driven and maintained.
Most modern vehicles available today can be quite reliable if they're looked after properly and not abused.
Having said that, some brands tend to be more reliable than others over the long term. Aside from Toyota and Honda, I'd also consider Mazda to be better than average ( but watch out for rust on some Mazda models if you live in a snow belt region ).
- Is there other causes for Code P1129, other than the MAP Sensor? I have a 2005 Honda Civic EX and my car has been idling and turning off on the road often. I'm currently not driving the car because of this issue. The OBDII scanner gives me a code of P1129, so I replaced the MAP sensor; however, even after I thought replacing the MAP sensor would fix it, the problem still exists. I need to use my car to get to work nowadays. Is there any other causes for code P1129? Any help is appreciated.
- Are 300cc sport bikes faster than your average car? As an example, Honda civic and Toyota Corolla vs ninja 300 and yamaha r3 I've heard that small displacement sport bikes are faster than your average car, and was wondering if it was true. By faster I mean faster acceleration, highway passing, and cornering.
- Are European cars (Audi, BMW, Volkswagen) as reliable as a Toyota, Honda or Mazda? Just curious. What's your experience with European cars as opposed to Japanese manufactured cars?
- Are American cars more reliable now for a while people were just buying Japanese cars like Hondas and Toyotas? I really like the new Chevy Malibu, and I'm thinking about buying one but my dad gets mad and says "no! American cars are unreliable just buy a Honda or a Toyota"… Have times changed?
