dude says it was a salvage title or whatever and said hed go down to 2500$ for me… What do you think about honda civis. I need something i can travel the highway alot with. Should i do it or keep looking?
Heck no. Salvage title means its a junk car that happens to run. Generally that means somebody opted to "keep" their totaled car and fix it. Go to KBB and run it as being in "poor" condition, that will tell you what it might be worth.
It says on the ad rebuilt which means it was totaled out and someone fixed it some. S tough body leans me to think they did not do a complete job rebuilding it.
Salvage title? Usually that means its been totaled by the insurance company following a wreck. The current owner probably bought it as salvage and fixed it up with the hopes of finding some schmuck to take it off his hands at a profit.
I wouldn't buy that car, if the owner paid me to take it off his hands.
Keep looking.
After researching your city and comparing prices on same make and model go for it if Honda is you next dream car just make sure you bring a certified machenic with you as a lot of cars have a big problem that's temporary hidden to sell the car and all cars on Craigslist is not warrantied and you will be spending up to 2k extra if it does have a problem. Otherwise go for it. Or wait and find a car owner in need for money and has a car for sell for 1k it happens I found a tiburon in that situation
