Should i get a 2014 honda si or bra/frs?
Loking to buy a new car thats under 30k and kinda sporty so Should i get a 2014 honda si or bra/frs?
Added (1). brz my bad.
The Si (sedan) is a much more convenient car. It has usable rear seats and a trunk. That being said if you are looking for something a bit less convenient and practical and a bit more sporty (as you are) the FR-S is a much better car.Though they have similar power, the FR-S is lighter, has a better weight distribution between the front and rear wheels as well as a lower center of gravity. In fact the FR-S's center of gravity is so low that it rivals that of supercars like Ferraris, Mclarens and Lamborghinis. This makes the FR-S much better at handling, acceleration and braking. (makes it a better sports car) to add to this, the FR-S also has rear wheel drive which lets you do donuts, drifts and burnouts. (I like to do donuts in empty parking lots and drift in winter when i don't have to go as fast to get the car to slide, eventually as I can save up a bit of money for spare tires I wanna go to a track). The FR-S is actually an amazing car because it is designed to let drivers have fun with their cars for not that high a price. Usually if you want a car that can drift and has such an awesome balance you have to pay for a very expensive sports car with huge wheels that needs a lot of power and speed to drift. The FR-S can do just that but dialed back so that it is more affordable and safe (you can push the car hard without reaching dangerous speeds).
personally I love the FR-S idea but i don't really like just how impractical it is. For example the rear seats. I'm 6 feet tall and when I sit in the front seat of an FR-S the back of the front seat touches the front of the back seat giving it 0 leg room. Now I don't really need a car with 4 seats but its nice to at least have something for the odd day that you do need them. The interior of the FR-S is also quite bland. As technology gets cheaper and cheaper, it's easier for manufacturers to give their cars some beautiful looking interiors, the FR-S is a bit bland and just lacks design and features.
Luckily though, I know of a car that mixes the best of both worlds. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The Genesis coupe specifically the 2.0T R-spec has more power (sadly more weight too) than the FR-S or civic SI. It's a faster car. It also has a larger interior so much so that when I sit in a front seat, the rear seats can still be used. The interior is much nicer too. The R-spec has a lowered and stiffer sports tuned suspension, upgraded brakes and limited slip differential so it can handle better than the regular 2.0T. The hyundai has hydraulic power steering rather than electric which gives you more feedback of the road. It also has rear wheel drive like the FR-S so you can still do donuts, burnouts and drifts but its a bit more of a convenient and practical car.
If you like or might ever think about modifying your car, the Genesis coupe also has easier to do basic power upgrades. In fact a simple bolt on intake, exhaust and software upgrades (something that you can get done in a day for not that much money) can get you to over 320 hp easily so your $30,000 sporty car can now compete with much faster purpose built sports cars like a Nissan 370z with very little extra work or money put into it.
I would prefer the FRS, identical to the BRZ but is slightly cheaper. Like the new and sporty look/design.
The civic is just to common now.
If you're a female, by all means spend the money on bras and other underwear. If you're a male, do what you want, including wearing bras.
- Which car to buy: Hyundai Elantra 1.6 HIgh spec 2014 vs Honda CIty 1.5 E 2014? Hi. Considering whether which is a better car? A Honda City E or Hyundai Elantra Gamma 1.6L high spec or Hyundai Elantra Gamma 1.6L standard auto? I know each has its own strength and weaknesses but would like to hear each expert own opinions. Price range are not far. Elantra Rm 98 k ( discount 8 k, after rm 90 k ++ ) CIty rm 83 k ++Thanks.
- Should I buy a 2014 Honda CRV or a 2014 Toyota RAV 4? I currently drive a 2004 Honda CRV with 209K miles. It still runs great and looks great. I actually think I can get another 100k miles out of it.
- What is better a 2014 Honda Civic or 2014 Toyota Corolla? I'm looking at these cars in terms of price and more "bang for your buck." Both seem interesting to me and I have yet to test drive them. The Honda Civic seems like it is the better car based on reviews but the newly redesigned Toyota Corolla looks better than previous versions and is slightly cheaper than the Civic. Which one should I consider looking towards? Please do not mention any other car, I'm only focused on these two at the moment.
- What 2014 Honda Civic color should I get? I'm looking at a color that would be not so hard to maintain, and would hide scratches and dust easily.
