Should I put ape hangers on my 1996 honda magna 750?
So I've been riding Harleys all my life but sold my softail because I inherited a honda magna but I want to know if it would look good with ape hangers.
It would look as good as any bike does with ape hangers… Read that any way you want.
The Magna is just a wonderful little bike. It's comfortable, it handles better than any cruiser, and I think it's faster than any Harley ever made (it's faster than a Valkyrie!) Not to mention -smoother-. I don't know why they don't still make it. The Honda V4 engine is incredible!
Everyone I've ever talked to who has ape hangers says they're just for the look. I always expect riders to at least try to justify them as having some advantage--like in the city you want to be sitting upright or even leaning back a little so you can see traffic lights, or something. But they always say they're just for the look. I think they look stupid! (But that's just me).
"Look good" is the stupidest reason to do anything.
"I think they look stupid" is also a stupid reason.
Had a Savage with the pull back handlebars. Was comfortable, but not *quite* perfect. Sat on the bike, closed my eyes, put my hands out and said they should be right "here." opened my eyes, look at where my hands were, where the handlebars were, and went looking for handlebars to fit what I want. Got 10" mini apes, lopped 1.5" off the ends. Perfect!
Should *YOU* put ape hangers on?
If you want move where you hands are to be more comfortable? YES.
If you want it to look good? NO.
I say no.
- Honda Super Magna or Honda CBR600F4i? I'm looking for performance (just 0-60 in 5secs and a top speed of around 120), long rides, super reliable (I'm gonna put a ton of miles on it), and easiness to maintain.
- 96 Honda Magna how do I put baffles back? They had been removed when I bought the bike. I like the bike but its way to loud. I would like it as quiet as possible without causing other problems
- I was looking at q a 2003 Honda 750 ACE because it has low miles. But I was wondering about what I should look at because of that? It's 14 years old and only has 1,900 miles on it. That means it's more than likely been sitting a while. I haven't messaged the person about it yet but I was just wondering what I should look for if I did go and look at the bike? Any suggestions?
- 1995 Honda Magna vs 1995 Honda VFR 750? Which is better at -top speed -acceleration -do you think the top two matter? -driving pleaser (if you know) -sound (if you know) -reliability I'm looking to get one of these two but I'm not sure which one. I feel like I love these two motorcycles equally so do I get the cheaper one that I can find?
