Speedometer recalibration cost?
From 195/65-15 to 205/65-16… Does the calibration… Does it cover by warranty my car has warranty or would i have to pay? This will be done at my Honda local dealer
Are you kidding? There's no way warranty will cover that. Why should Honda pay because you decided to change tire sizes?
Cahanging things will probably " void " the warranty
If you put on different sized tires, then its up to you to have the calibration changed. Personally I'd just check the speed with a gps and remember the difference. Probably one to two mph difference.
What you are doing strikes me as weird: changing to a wider, narrower tire?
-For use as snow tires?
-To avoid buying tires when some are available (or steal-able) for free?
In any event, have you considered that you probably will not longer be able to claim original miles or vouch your car as "unchanged odometer" possibly reducing it to salvage status or uninsurable at normal rates.
- What does the smallest numbers mean on this speedometer? (picture included)? I have a 1979 Honda CB125S that has a speedometer with scale for MPH and KMH but there's a smallest number that are from 1 to 5. Would this be the gear shift numbers?
- How to change a car speedometer? I have seen cars with stock speedometer and maximum speeds says 150mph then people change the speedometer and the new one says maximum speed is 180mph? These cars was the Honda prelude by the way. My question was when they change it to faster speedometer will the car actually go faster? And would the speed it says the car is going will that be accurate?
- How to fix a 1991 Honda civic DX hatchback not running found a lose speedometer cable? My only car, a 1991 Honda civic DX hatchback stopped getting gears. It turns on perfectly, oil is perfect no specs, I found a lose cord, a speedometer cable. Is this why it doesn't get any gears? There's a pin to attach it back in but it blows off when I start it. What can I do? I really don't want to junk it.
- How to check if there's a bad connection for my speedometer in my 1995 Honda civic ex? How can I check if there's a bad connection for my speedometer in my 1995 Honda civic ex? my speedometer and odometer isn't working. however I do not have a check engine light on. I think it's either the speed sensor or a bad connection. how can I check the connection? do I pull the speedometer out?
