The fact that VW have tricked out their Cars to pass emission tests does not mean? - 1
Added (1). That EVERYBODY else is doing it too (as if they would)
Added (2). Volkswagen emissions were found to be 40 TIMES higher than US Law demands LOL
Naturally, Toyota would never consider doing such a thing
Added (3). I can practically guarantee that Toyota and Honda have been tricking their TDI Cars for years LOL
Added (4). *I'm NOT talking about Emissions as a whole I'm commentating on VWs deception
Added (5). *Sherlock: Exactly. It's going to need a recall of over 500,000 cars at least plus courtesy cars supplied. Possibly even replacement engines… And the cost will be astronomical!
Typical Germans.
They wouldn't? You have more faith in them than I do. But of course, they might of considered it, but I doubt they All did it.
Why all the fuss? It's a drop in the ocean, compared to the pollution pumped out by aircraft, and factories world wide, every hour of the day.
Since engineers and managers move from company to company, there's a reasonable chance this has gone on in other companies. There's less chance it has gone on in US companies where the government and regulators are not as weak and toothless as the EU.
There's a good chance this is something pretty big where an awful lot of cars will have to be recalled to have their engine systems re-programmed, which will reduce the performance the customer paid for, meaning they have an argument for compensation or even a refund.
They definitely shouldn't have done it, it was incredibly stupid to do.
But in terms of the actual environmental impact i'm not really worried. A single cruise ship causes as much emissions as 5 million cars, yet hardly anyone cares about that.
How to destroy a company. The Germans really are loosing the plot lately. Germany is a country that depends heavily on exports. The effect of this on their foreign markets in general could be immense. Does this affect AUDI too?
Ohh YES it does…
- Why do people get mad over the fact that their cars require full synthetic oil? I work as a mechanic and found some people do not like the fact 2010 and up toyotas and Hondas and almost all 2014 cars and European cars require full synthetic oil. A majority of the anger comes towards toyotas and Hondas. Despite me explaining the increased intervals, they still get angered at the fact. Is it just me or does less time doing oil changes that save you more money in the long run end up coming out cheaper despite the increased price and why would they be angry saving money?
- What are some sites where people rent out their own personal cars? I'm thinking of one, but I forgot the name of it. You'd have a list of people renting their cars out in your area. You could rent anything from a 15yo Honda with a manual trans to newer Teslas and BMWs. Any similar rental services?
- How much of a problem did Hondas have with there push to start feature failing to let their cars start? I have heard some people say Honda had a problem with this. Was it just a few Hondas or was it a big problem?
- Why is it that some husbands let their wives drive luxury cars while they drive ordinary cars? I've been observing some of my neighbors (one of them is a stay at home mom) and the husbands drive ordinary cars like Honda Accord or Honda Pilot. But the wives tend to drive luxury cars like Acura TSX or Acura RDX (some form of luxury car). What is the reason for this? Why do wives get to drive luxury cars while the husband drives ordinary car? I should say some of them. Its not a problem though but was only curious. The neighbors are Asians actually.
