Valve tick? What is this noise on Honda ATV?
I was listening to my ATV and I thought about this ticking noise. Wondering if I should be concerned. I recently did a frame swap on it but it made that noise long before. As long as I've had it's made this noise, should I be concerned?

There's a simple way to check it.
Adjust the valves.
If they were loose, the sound should go away.
For peace of mind why not measure the gaps, it is easy enough to do with a manual and a few tools.
If you want to locate a sound's source, try a long screwdriver, place the blade at various positions on the running engine with your ear pressed to the handle.
Adjust your cam chain, too.
- Weird whistling noise coming from my ATV engine? So i have a honda 250ex, and today whenever i would give it gas, i would here a strange whistling noise coming from the cylinder block in the engine. When in neutral the sound was not heard. I never heard this sound before and it made me a little nervous. Just wondering if there's a problem with it or if i need to replace something.

Can I drive short distances without hurting engine? light for GRV valve sensor has been on for two weeks and the VITM-4 light has just went on.
- We have a 2006 Honda CBR. When you drive it, there's a loud whirring noise coming the back underneath side. What could cause that noise? The noise is situated around a CV boot on the left underneath side where the differential connects to the middle.
