What are some things i can do to my 2012 honda accored to give it more horse power?
My car is weak, it does alright with just me in the car but it needs more power so i can carry passangers and things in the trunk with out losing so much power. I enjoy driving fast and all though i know i don't have a race car or anything i enjoy upgrades because its more rewarding to customize a car then to buy it already done. I've already added a cold air intake but it only added like 15 to my HP and i was looking to bump it up about 150 more. My car is currently at 155 and i think 305 would be satisfying to me plus give me the pick up i need when i have passangers. I do enjoy a more throaty sound and the cold air intake made it sound more so, i'm bot going to rice it out but i would enjoy hearing my engine more.
Trade it in for a new Kia Stinger. 365 hp, stock.
I can't help someone that can't spell their own car's model as Accord.
There's not much you can do. Cars are meant to drive the way they are built. An Accord is a "daily driver", not a sports car.
Stick shift or auto? If manual, are you winding out in your gears? Most people are not willing to run high RPMs. If you car is not singing, you are not using the potential horsepower. Your horsepower is "peak" -- let the car scream.
If you want that much more H.P. You need to trade it in.
Stickers.
Stickers add more horsepower - even if you don't actually have the engine components that the stickers are advertising.
Pull the engine and transmission.
Sell them for a couple hundred bucks.
Buy a different K motor, bring it to a speed shop and ask for:

Then… Build a tranny, rework rest of the car.
Does anyone here believe he got 15 hp out of a cold-air intake?
I want to see a dyno report.
You'd need to reprogram the PROM, brain box, to get more HP. Otherwise, you'd need something like a Supercharger which can cost maybe $5,000++ to install. Still have to reprogram the PROM.
- What's the best engine (to add horse power and torque) that i can swap into my 1999 Honda Prelude? Currently i have an H22A but i heard that the k series or even the f series are better? Is this true or should i just stick with my H22A?
- What are some things I need to know about The Honda Indy Toronto race? On July 20th I'm going to the Honda Indy Race in Toronto with my boyfriend. This is my first time going to any type of race and I don't really know a lot about Car races but I don't want to go without knowing what's going on and I don't wanna feel stupid when he starts talking about these things.
- Prius: Can someone explain the power usage meter & specific difference between power mode and Eco mode? My brother just got me a Prius to replace my old beater Honda and I'm having difficulty understanding the power usage meter (meter on dash with "Charge-Eco-Power") and the difference in the Eco & Power modes. I do understand the charge bit on the meter.
- How much extra horse power might I be getting for my Honda Pilot? I drive a 2003 Honda Pilot, and I have replaced the stock exhaust system with a straight pipe all the way back to a magnaflow muffler. I have also added on a spectre cold air intake. I have noticed a small increase in response time and acceleration. I was just curious if anyone has an educated guess.
