What are the least and inexpensive things I can do to gain a little increase in my Hondasl's acceleration?
My car is an 03 Honda Element awd 4 speed automatic. Off the line, it is pretty peppy for what it is(close to quick but definitely not fast lol) but I want to know what I can do to increase the acceleration off the line and from a dead stop. Tips? No cai please. Better tires perhaps?
Oh look, it's the Honda Element TROLL again. There's nothing that is inexpensive that will make a measurable difference to an un-aerodynamic box that weighs 3,500 pounds and probably doesn't make anywhere near it's original 160hp. Sorry Marc. You can ask a hundred more times and that won't change the answer.
It's an auromatic box on wheels designed to carry stuff from Ikea and tables from antiques fairs. You might be able to remap the ecu.
HONDA ELEMENT TROLL STRIKES AGAIN.
All Honda motors have a common problem with the valves getting tight. They need to be adjusted every 60,000 miles. A rough idle and lack of power are the results of tight valves.
Inexpensive? Strip the interior of weight. It won't give you any additional power but it will increase the power-to-weight ratio and it's FREE!
- What's your most and least favorite car brands? State a specific model if you want. Favorite- 3 way tie between Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes. I have a Mercedes C320 and it's very reliable. I also own a Honda but I want to replace it with a BMW X5. I do hate a few of their cars such as the BMW X6 Least favorite- Dodge and Chrysler. Not impressed by their styling and build quality. - My car is front wheel drive and the rear shocks are leaking will the car last at least two weeks until I can go to a mechanic? My car is Honda 2010 2dr front wheel drive I went to the mechanic yesterday and he told me that rear shocks (not front) were leaking and that I should replace them now or they can cause an accident the thing is he is charging too much and I can get them fixed for cheaper in the city but I'm in college right now and the soonest I can go is in two weeks will my car last that long or is he just trying to scare me into paying As soon as possible the car ride home is like 3hours as well
- Inexpensive Auto Insurance NJ? I'm looking for car insurance that is cheaper for a 95 Honda. I currently use metromioe which costs me the most 90$ a month but they only cover 96 and up so I need a change. I've had Allstate and progressive and they were very expensive. But that is also due to the fact of my driving history. Although the accident was deemed not my fault I know it does still raise my rate. Any suggestions?
