What battery does my 1979 Honda CM400t need?
Yes I have checked the manual, I was just wondering if someone could provide a link to the specific battery. The manual says it needs a 12 volt 12 amperes battery, thanks!
As long as it fits, the specs are correct
Just go to a battery store and tell them what you need.
Believe the manual.
Go to a battery store and get a 12V, 12Ah battery that will fit in the battery hold and have the same terminal orientation as the terminals in the bike. Most battery bikes have standard sizes for a similar voltage and Ah ratings.

If you need the exact battery to fit try Batteries Plus. They likely have a listing for all motorcycle batteries.
