What could possibly be wrong with my 93 Honda Prelude?
Something is wrong with my 93 honda prelude, ok. When i start my car and let of the clutch(in neutral) it will die, why? Because if i let out the clutch and give it gas it will start going(still in neutral) ok so when i put it in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th, and reverse, and let out the clutch and give it gas, it revs up as it wants to move but it just stays still. What could be the problem, someone said the transmissions out, and another said the clutch went out. Any suggestions/ help?
Maybe you should just get a more newer car… Like 2007.
It sounds like the idle is too low and the clutch is worn.
If it wants to go when in neutral, then it really is not in neutral. That might also mean that the other gears are not what they are labeled either. If it does not really move in any of the gears, that is a sign that the clutch is gone. There may be more than one problem here, but if the car actually moves in 'neutral' then the clutch must be good for whatever gear that is, and should also be good for the other gears.
